2016- I started this podcast as an overview of my experiences teaching ESL with actual recordings of class lessons and discussions; as time went on I transitioned to a live interview format covering trade shows, private residences and businesses where people talked about who they were and what they were doing. 

The UnCommon Core are the people who do their own thing, wether it is building a fashion brand, raising seahorses, or tying the perfect a fly. We are not all the same all the same; we are different. It's those differences that make us interesting. In 2021 Season 4 ended and the podcast has been in hiatus since then.  Plans are to begin season 5 in a new location in 2023.

"Goin' Yonder" www.goinyonder.com is a  tribute to Anthony Bourdain and Q the Pug. 

It's a You Tube series I filmed on a single Go Pro as I moved from New York City to California with my dog Q the Pug. I found Q at Bangkok's Chatuchak Market. He lived with me in Thailand for 2 years, New York City for 12 years and California for 1 1/2  years. Q passed away on July 29, 2020 at the age of 15 1/2. He is imensly missed.  This series continues keeping the memory of Q alive with future videos of Q's last year in California and my susequent travels.

UnCommonCore Media is the umbrella that covers all media projects I produce. Productions include sound recording, editing, photography, video production, acting, and web design. 

With a broad understanding of Instructional Design based on my involvement in the field in the early days from 2000-2003, I have a unique perspective on curriculum design and implementation. 

California Fire Prevention was a web page I created for a project bid with Cal Fire. The concept was to involve schools and influencers in creating content about fire prevention for the public. The website was taken down in 2021. A video from the campaign can be found here:

Before Google Classroom, Word Press, and Square-space, everyone created their own online courses using simple HTML. In 2005 in Thailand I created web pages for my Visual Statement class and my Art History class. I plan to republish these pages in the near future. A templete can be downloaded at Teacher's Pay Teachers

While in Thailand, I had a few websites inclusing Lostinsiam, Foundinsiam and Hill Tribe Crafts. Lacking financial backing for advertising and marketing, I had to abandoned these websites. I will upload some of the content in the near future. 

I am currently teaching online ESL classes to the loggers who manage the forest on behalf of PG&E.
